Buddy Love's BBQ - 9th Street: Authentic, Flavorful BBQ in Ocean City, NJ

This was an overall amazing experience. The quick service was delightful. The food was indeed well cooked and very very good. When you first walk in you are taken in by the clean well design and well decorated restaurant.

Buddy Love’s BBQ is a good spot for an authentic bbq meal. The menu has all the traditional bbq food you could ask for. I ordered the half rack of ribs that came with sides of baked beans, coleslaw, and cornbread. The person I was with ordered the half chicken, which I was also able to share. I wish they had some sort of chicken and ribs combo so I could get the best of both. The service was excellent and the food came out very quickly. Everything was cooked very well and tasted delicious. The chicken was especially very juicy and smothered in a very tasty sauce. Overall, Buddy Love’s is off to a great start and I recommend dining here for a great bbq meal.

Easily the best BBQ restaurant I've been to. It was definitely the most flavorful food I've ever had. The brisket melted in my mouth and the ribs fell right off the bone (as pictured). Me and my family will definitely be back

Delicious, family home cooking with from 5 generations of local BBQ! We were skeptical at first because it seemed expensive. However, walking by it smelled so good! We all loved our dinner! The server was so delightful. I had a quarter chicken, white. It was so tender. My husband from the south said the Mac and cheese was "family reunion Mac and cheese"! The music playing was like a soundtrack of my life. Lol We had 4 in our party, and gratuity was included. I would prefer that the server tell you when presenting the check, but that is just a suggestion.

We loved it! Our waitress Morgan was super friendly and helpful. The ribs were excellent-- I'm a dry rub guy, and it was done right. Beans and cornbread were so good we took some cornbread with us for dessert later. We sat outside in the breeze and they had classic Motown on the loudspeaker-- not too loud for conversation, just loud enough to enjoy. We'd go back in a NY minute! Highly recommended!

Brisket was yum. The fries are freshly made, the coleslaw has a taste of made with love, not from a jar. The kids portion chicken tenders was surprisingly big for a kid's portion and the chicken was very soft. Even comes with a juice box and applesauce. And we were able to sit outside!

This place is a hidden gem! The breakfast was delicious and the French toast was a standout! The staff was so kind and when the food took a little extra time they took the item off without us even asking. Finding a place like this is rare on the shore and we'll be sure to come back
